I Won a Prize

My story “The Trouble Dogs Get Into” just won the regional League for Innovation Award for fiction.  It’s moving to nationals next, so keep your fingers crossed!  It was originally published by the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts.  You can read it here.

Also, my poem “Mme. Curie and the Bees” won Honorable Mention regional.  It is available in print from Third Wednesday.

From the Archives

So…my friend Tony from Section 8 Magazine (also, this year’s Layout Editor at LSR) dug up an old piece of mine and reposted it on his new, revamped site.  Check it out at

Open Mic

I will be reading at the open mic at the Hugo House in Capitol Hill on Monday October 3.  The readings go from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, but the bar is open earlier.  Prose, poetry and everything in between is welcome.

So, if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and read, or just have a listen.

Look Everybody, I’m an Intern

I’ve go a big week ahead!  School’s back in session on Monday.  On Wednesday, I begin my stint as managing editor of the Licton Springs Review.  I also just landed a gig as an intern with the publishing company  ShinShinChez, but I’m not sure exactly when I start there.  Super excited for new projects!

Now on Facebook

Hey!  I just set up a Facebook page.  Check it out at

New Things

Howdy everybody!  I have set up this site to compile links to my available published work and keep people up-to-date about any readings or events I am involved with around town.  I plan on updating irregularly, when new pieces get published or when I’m reading at an open mic.  Click the button to the right to be automatically informed of new posts.

¡Hasta luego!
